My name is Jonathan Hatch, and I've been writing, designing, and publishing online content for a very long time--almost six years now. Some of the sites I've created include How to Get Rid of Things, How to Clean Things, and my personal/portfolio site, JonathanHatch.com.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative and professional writing from Bemidji State University in the Spring of 2004, and a Masters in English from the same institution in the Fall of 2007. I enjoy research and writing helpful how-to articles, web design, tennis, gaming, building computers, and spending time with my loved ones.

I am relatively new to photography, especially digital photography, but the more I learn and the more pictures I take, and the more catalogues I drool over, the more I like the newer field of DSLR photography. I work with a Canon 5D. I can't think of anything sexier than a full-frame DSLR with Canon L series glass, but the apple of my eye (or expectations) is the new Canon 5D Mk II. A Digic-III processor with 21 megapixels on a full-frame sensor? You have to have one. I have to have one. We should all have one.

I'm doing this because I love photography, and I want to share my photography, and I want to learn more about photography, particulalry digital photography. I figure that if I can share my photography with others, they might see what I'm doing and try to contact me--maybe even offer me some feedback on my work. I'm very open to new ideas and constructive criticism. I just hope people can find my site when they search for Wide Wallpaper.

Thirdly, I'm doing this because I've been through a lot of free widescreen wallpaper webites and I haven't found much that really strikes me as great. I'm sick of weeding through stupid comments, overly photoshopped photographs, and registration processes. I don't know if I can offer a better experience or a better wallpaper, but I can at least offer a simpler experience. If you think I'm doing a good job (or not doing a good job) why not drop me a line and let me know.

Why such a bland design? It's not bland! It's simple. And it's designed to help keep the emphasis on my photography.
